How to set ringtones for calls & notification sounds? ( 2020 Products onward )

    IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.

    Solution

    To set a ringtone

    1. Find and tap Settings Sound  / Sound and vibration Phone ringtone.
    2. Select a ringtone, then tap OK.

    To set a music file (for example, an mp3) as a ringtone

    1. Find and tap Settings Sound / Sound and vibrationPhone ringtone.
    2. Scroll down the list of ringtones, then tap + Add ringtone.
    3. Find and mark the music file you want to use, then tap OPEN.
    4. In the list of ringtones, select the music file you opened, then tap OK.

    To delete a music file from the list of ringtones

    1. Find and tap Files > the menu icon (three horisontal lines) > your device's commercial name (for example H8416).
    2. Tap RingtonesTap Internal storage.
    3. Find and mark the music file you want to delete.
    4. Tap the wastepaper basket icon, then tap OK.

    Note! If device name is not shown in Files menu, tap Show internal storage.

    To set a ringtone for an individual caller

    1. Find and tap Contacts
    2. Find and tap the contact that you want to set a ringtone for.
    3. Tap the menu icon (three vertical dots) > Set ringtone.
    4. Select a ringtone, then tap OK.

    To set a general notification sound

    1. Find and tap Settings Sound / Sound and vibration​​​​​​​ Notification sound.
    2. Select a sound, then tap OK.
