Where can I find the firmware update for my camera or camcorder?

Firmware updates often improve product performance or correct certain issues. It is always recommended to install the latest version for your model.

If firmware updates are available, they will be posted on your model support page. They may be titled Firmware or System Software.

1. Go to the Firmware/Software section on your model page. If you are not sure of your camera model, check out how to find out my camera model name here. 
2. The latest files will be presented by default. You can also filter by operating system if you wish. If you don’t see a firmware update listed, it simply means that there isn’t a newer version available from Sony at this time.
3. Click a file to see the detailed description, download, and installation instructions, including how to check your current firmware version.
