How to set Dialing Rules to a modem connection?

    How to set Dialing Rules to a modem connection to access an outside line for local calls and long-distance calls?

    Follow the steps below for the settings:
    * For Windows 98/SE/Me
    1. Start Control Panel and double-click Modems.

    2. Click Dialing Properties.

    3. Set the required prefixes in the To access an outside line for local calls and/or To access an outside line for long-distance calls text boxes.

    4. Click OK.

    * For Windows 2000/XP
    1. Start the modem connection.

    2. Click Properties.

    3. Select the Use dialing rules option and click Dialing Rules.

    4. Click Edit.

    5. Set the required prefixes in the To access an outside line for local calls and/or To access an outside line for long-distance calls text boxes.

    6. Click OK.
