Changing the communication mode of the printer port.
The communication mode of the printer port of this machine is set to ECP by default.
Please follow the steps below to change the communication mode of the printer port.
1. Turn on the VAIO computer and press F2 when the SONY logo appears.
2. Select Advanced - Parallel Port and press Enter.
3. Select either ECP, Bi-directional or Normal.
4. Press Esc twice and select Exit (Save Changes). Then, press Enter twice.
