How do I take a screenshot?

    Information / Solution

    You can capture still images of any screen on your device as a screenshot. Screenshots are automatically saved in Google Photos or Files> Images > screenshots folder. The format of the screenshots are.png, this cannot be changed. You can capture a screenshot in one of the following ways.

    To take a screenshot

    1. Long press the power key until a prompt window appears, then tap Take a screenshot.
      NOTE: This step is valid for Xperia 1 III, Xperia 5 III, Xperia 10 III, Xperia PRO-I, Xperia 1 II, Xperia 5 II, Xperia 10 II, and Xperia PRO ONLY.
    2. Press and hold the power key and volume down key at the same time. Once the screenshot is captured, you can release the keys.
    3. (1) When the mobile phone is on 3-button navigation mode, tap the function key (square type icon) at the lower right corner, and the "Capture Screen"/"Screenshot" option will appear at the bottom left corner, tap to capture the screen.
      (2) When the mobile phone is on Touch-screen gesture mode, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to the top and hold for a while then release. Once the application screen is shown, the "Capture Screen"/"Screenshot" option will appear at the bottom left corner, tap to capture the screen
    4. Capturing via Side sense:
      1. The steps will depend on your menu options:
        • Find and tap [Settings] → [Display] → [Advanced] → [Side sense] → [Gestures]
        • Find and tap [Settings] → [Operation & View] → [Side sense] → [Gesture function assignments]
      2. According to personal needs, select the following options, you can take screenshots based on the gesture options you set.
        • For Xperia 1 VII, Xperia 10 VII: [Flick inward towards the screen], [Flick up], [Flick down]
        • For Xpera 1 V, Xperia 10 V, Xperia 5 V, Xpera 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI:[Double-tap], [Swipe up], [Swipe down]

    To view the screenshot

    1. Drag the status bar fully downwards, then tap the screenshot you want to view.
    2. A small snippet of your image will be displayed on the left corner of your screen. To view the screenshot, Tap on the image.
