If your computer is not equipped with either a Memory Stick slot or an SD card slot, please prepare the USB cable supplied with the digital camera you are using.

1. Prepare the recording medium

This section explains how to update the printer by using a Memory Stick. When you use an SD card, please replace Memory Stick with SD card in the explanations.

Prepare the Memory Stick you have formatted with the digital camera you are using.

Please see the operating instructions of your digital camera or the DPP-FP55 for how to format the Memory Stick.

Note:

  • Use a Memory Stick formatted with the DPP-FP55 or the digital camera you are using.

  • An SD memory card cannot be formatted with the DPP-FP55. Use an SD card formatted with the digital camera you are using.

  • Depending on the formatting system, the DPP-FP55 may not recognize a memory card formatted with a computer. Use of such card is not recommended. If you should use a memory card formatted with a computer, copy a JPEG image file onto the card and make sure that the DPP-FP55 can display and print the image before you use the card.

NOTE Please note that all data including even protected images will be erased by formatting and cannot be restored.
