The Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II is an incredible portrait and wedding lens. It gives beautiful sharp photos and creamy, smooth background blur that makes faces and moments stand out. The fast f/1.4 aperture performs great in low light and helps isolate your subjects perfectly. Autofocus is quick and quiet, which helps capture candid expressions and moving subjects with confidence. The lens feels well-built but light enough for long wedding days. Overall, it’s one of my favourite lenses for portraits and wedding photography — reliable, beautiful, and professional every time.

Like many others I have been waiting years for the mark 2 version of this lens. I am very impressed with it for portriats, action and landscapes.

I bought this lens having loved a 90mm Lieca lens when shooting film and have no regrets. It is amazingly sharp, great for landscapes and portraits, handles difficult lighting extremely well and very light weight.
