SonicStage CP (SonicStage Version 4.3) Program is now available for customers of Hi-MD Walkman, Net MD Walkman, Network Walkman (NW-E/NW-A/NW-S/NW-HD/ NW-MS series), ATRAC CD Walkman.

New Functions of SonicStage CP (SonicStage Version 4.3) Program:

Functions of SonicStage:

1. Ripping an Audio CD in following formats is available.
- AAC format (3gp)
   320kbps/256kbps/192kbps/160kbps/128kbps/96kbps/80kbps
- HE-AAC format (3gp)*
   96kbps/80kbps/64 kbps/48kbps/40kbps
     *Enhancement of SonicStage CP (SonicStage Ver.4.2)
- ATRAC format (ATRAC3plus/ATRAC3)
- ATRAC Advanced Lossless format
- WMA format
- MP3 format

2. To select to add or not to add copyright protection with OpenMG is available in ripping an Audio CD.

3. Dynamic Playlist is available. This allows you to create Playlists based on Genres, Artists Names, Date Imported, Rating, Playback Count, Transfer Count, Playback Time and so on.

4. New Playlist updated on My Library renews existing Playlist on an ATRAC Audio Device automatically, transferring the Playlist to an ATRAC Audio Device.

5. Memory Stick PRO and Memory Stick PRO Duo are available.
*The devices supported Memory Stick PRO and Memory Stick PRO Duo only.

6. The track in My Library can be transferred unlimitedly.
*Imported music from EMD, CONNECT Music Store is controlled for transferring by music distribution dealer.

7. Tracks recorded on Hi-MD devices can be imported to My Library unlimitedly.

8. Tracks can be converted at a specified bit rate and then transferred to devices or media.

9. The function of Create an ATRAC CD, Create an Audio CD and Create an MP3 CD * is available.
*MP3 format tracks in My Library only

10. CDDB (A distributed network CD database that contains information about most Audio CDs in circulation) is available. Track information such as released year and composer can be shown.

11. Album cover art will be displayed on SonicStage, automatically when an Audio CD is inserted into the CD Drive.

Notes:

1. Function of create an MP3 CD is only available from MP3 files in My Library. SonicStage is not able to convert OpenMG Audio files (e.g. ATRAC3plus) to MP3 files and to create an MP3 CD.

2. In this Download Service, the program which has the language fit to your Operating System language will be installed.
(Only for English, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese)

3. Track information such as music title, artist name, genre, album title on copy protected discs being released by SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT what is copied into computer is not allowed to edit.

The following system environment is required in order to use the SonicStage CP (SonicStage Ver4.3) software.

- Computer: IBM PC/AT or compatible
- CPU: Pentium III 450MHz or higher (Pentium III 800MHz or higher for Windows Vista)
- Hard disk drive space: 400MB or more (The amount space will vary according to Windows version and the number of music files stored on the hard disk.)
- RAM: 128MB or more (512MB or more for Windows Vista)
- Others: CD drive (capable of digital playback by WDM)
* When creating an Audio CD or ATRAC CD or MP3 CD, CD-R/RW drive is needed.
         Sound Board
         USB port (supports USB (previously called USB 1.1))
- Display: High Color (16bit) or higher, 800 x 600 dots or better (1024 x 768 dots or better is recommended)
- Others: Internet access for Web registration and CDDB service
         Windows Media Player (version 7.0 or higher) installed for playing WMA files

Before runnng SonicStage CP (SonicStage Ver.4.3) Download Service

Download SonicStageInstaller first.
After executing SonicStageInstaller, only the files needed for your computer will be downloaded and SonicStage CP (SonicStage Ver.4.3) will be installed. (Internet connection is required when executing SonicStageInstaller.)

The installed file will differ depending on the computer's environment. (The installed file size is approximately 32～79MB.)
Depending on the Internet environment, it may take a while to install the file.

Download Procedure
Please follow the steps below to download SonicStageInstaller.

Connect to the Internet.
Set up the folder to store the downloaded file on the hard disk.
Assume the folder is named “ss43_dl” and is created in C: drive.
Download the update file SonicStageInstaller.exe (867 KB) on the folder created in Step 2.
After the download is completed, select Views -> Details in the Explorer to check the file size.
If the file size is not the same as the file size shown above, download the file again.

Note: Do not make the system go into a suspend, sleep, and hibernation mode during the download.

Install Procedure
Once the download of SonicStageInstaller.exe is completed, please follow the steps below to install the SonicStage on the computer.

Close all programs.
If MD Simple Burner, Net MD Simple Burner, OpenMG Jukebox icon is displayed on the task tray, remove the icons from the task tray.
Confirm the computer is connected to the Internet.
*SonicStageInstaller.exe downloads only the files necessary for the computer and then installs SonicStage CP (SonicStage Ver.4.3) Your personal information is not sent to the server when downloading thisprogram.
Click Start and click Run…. The Run dialog box appears.
* For Windows Vista, Please click Start, and click All Programs,then point to Accessories, then click RUN.
Enter C:\ss43_dl\SonicStageInstaller.exe and click OK.
The SonicStageInstaller window appears. Click OK and start downloading the files.
Follow the on-screen prompt to complete the download and installation.
Click Done to restart the computer when the Complete window appears.
Check that the installation is completed successfully.
Open SonicStage and select About SonicStage from the Help menu. If SonicStage Version 4.3.0.xxxxx is displayed on the About SonicStage dialog box, the installation is completed successfully.
