“WRT FAILED”
is displayed on the player front panel display.
Please proceed with the following procedure:
Turn off the player by pressing the POWER button for a few
seconds and release the POWER button (do not remove the disc).
Press the POWER button again. The update process will start
again. If "WRT FAILED" appears again, remove the disc form the player.
Delete the update file from your computer and proceed with
the update procedure again to create a new update disc.
Proceed with the update procedure again.
“DISC-DWLD”
is not displayed on the player front panel display when the update disc
is inserted.
Remove the update disc and recreate a new one by
downloading the file again, and perform the update process again.
"NO DLWD 02" is displayed on the
player front panel display.
This suggests that your player was already updated. You do not
need
to run the update.
All my personal settings are
gone after the update.
This is normal as after the update, the player is set to its
factory default settings.
How can I make sure that the
update disc was correctly created with my CD authoring
software?
After the disc was created, check that the disc name is BDPV-00390.
During the update process, the
player turns off.
Turn the player on again, with the disc in the player. The
update should restart automatically.
When I double-click the
downloaded "UPDATE_BDPS1E_VER0390.exe", the ISO file is not created
and the following error message appears: “Win32 Cabinet
Self-Extraction”.
The download may have failed. Delete the file and download it
again.
When the player is turned on
after the update was done, nothing appears on the TV set or on the
player front display.
Wait for around 90 seconds. If after 2 minutes, nothing
appears, please contact Sony.
When the player is turned on
after the update was done, “POWER ON” appears on
the TV set or on the player front display.
“INCOMPLETE”
/ ”NEED DISC” are displayed on the player front
panel display.
This suggests that the update is not completed. Put the update
disc in the disc tray and turn off the player by pressing the
“POWER” button on the player for 5 seconds. Then,
turn on the player again to automatically restart the update procedure.
