'RX100 Photography' Contest FAQs
- When is the deadline for submissions for 'RX100 Photography' Contest?

- Who can enter?
This contest is open only to residents of Singapore who are 18 years or older as at the date of participation. Employees of Sony, their advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible.
- How many images can I upload?
In this contest, you can enter a maximum of 5 images.
- How do I submit my images?
All images should be submitted online via the 'RX100 Photography' Facebook contest application on the Sony Singapore Facebook page.
- Are photographs taken by other camera brands / models eligible for this contest?
No. Photos must be captured using Sony’s RX100 series camera.
- What size / format file should I submit?
Images should be no smaller than 800KB and no larger than 10MB. Images should be in JPEG. All entrants must supply a high resolution image suitable for printing in exhibitions and marketing materials should the image be required.
- Can I submit manipulated images?
Images can be manipulated, however the manipulation must be clearly outlined within the image description
- Can I see my submitted images on the website?
All entries are confidential and work submitted will not be shown in the live online gallery. Notable submissions will be featured on a Facebook post during the contest.
- Can I change my images after submission?
No. Once you have selected to ‘submit’ your images, you will not be able to change it.
- I am unable to upload my images, what should I do?
Please ensure that your images are above 800KB size and are in Jpeg format.
It may be that your images are too large for the local Internet connection and we suggest that you resize all the pictures and try again.
If you continue to have problems, please do not hesitate to contact us.
- Who will judge my images?
Kevin WY Lee, founder of Invisible Photographer Asia and a representative from Sony will select the 3 winners.
- What are the judging criteria for the winning photos?
The winning photos will be chosen based on overall composition, technicality, execution and creativity.
- Where can I get tips & ideas on how I can take better photos for this contest?
You may view the Gallery where we showcase photos inspired by us!
- Is judging anonymous?
Yes, we respect the integrity of the photographers and therefore judging is anonymous. Judges will not know the names of any of the entrants.
- How can I find out the results of the competition?
Results of all winners will be announced on the following dates via a Facebook post on the Sony Singapore Facebook page:
1st Prize x 1 9 January 2017
2nd Prize x 1 9 January 2017
3rd Prize x 1 9 January 2017
The winners will also be notified separately by email or telephone and will be required to acknowledge by return email no later than 7 days after the notification was sent. Sony reserves the right to deal with all unclaimed prizes in any manner deems fit.

Can I enter my images in other competitions?
Yes. You may enter into other photography competitions, we have no exclusivity rights to your images.

Do the sponsors have rights to use my image? Will my images be used in any other way?
All entrants understand that any image submitted to the competition may be used by Sony, for the promotional and marketing purposes and the photographers themselves.

Should there be a watermark/copyright information added to the images entered into the competition?
No. All images must be clear of any copyright information so that the photographer’s identity is not revealed by the image. In the interest of fairness, the judges are not allowed to see the names of the photographers when judging. Any images that do contain photographer’s names on the image or any other watermark/copyright information will be disqualified from being presented to the judges.
