The TV resolution and colour were really great. The way the information is presented is also self explanatory. The sound is also great. I can hear the dialogue clearly.

Replaced an older 42" Panasonic. The OLED picture is excellent from all angles. Also the sound quality with the built in sub woofer is clear with good depth. We use both terrestrial and satellite and the tuner made set up very easy. Have also linked in Google TV which sits alongside the basic TV without any problems. Bought direct from Sony and unpacking single handed was not straightforward. However very pleased

Bought to replace an older-model Sony Bravia HD TV. Overall very happy with the product especially the ease of integration with other devices (home cinema, PlayStation, Virgin Media box, etc.). Straightforward set-up and decent picture. Glad I have the home cinema as despite the claims, the built in sound is pretty weak.

This was an up grade to our faulty one which was 4 years old… as this is a direct replacement it’s really no different we can’t see any update? plus it now have 2 handsets why?

I had to have a software repair after two months but now works fine. A very good picture.

I am really happy with this tv. The picture is so sharp and clear and the colours are beautiful. The sound is great too.

Easy switch from previous Sony, good picture quality and I love the sound. The sound was so good we could get rid of our old soundbar so now the new TV installation is much simpler with fewer remotes. The new remote takes some getting used to as there are no numbers or coloured buttons so you have to discover new ways to find channels or red buttons so you features. The manual for the system is only a few pages and some features we had to work out using google searches and online videos. So the manual could be improved. Only slight grouse is that starting up from a full power down seems to take a long time with nothing appearing on the screen. Sony seems to assume you will always leave it in standby mode which we never do. Else all good so far.

i bought this tv to replace my old sony expecting a sharp increase in quality of picture and sound. i do not believe that it has.

I am pleased with the TV now I have it set up. However the set up was a nightmare. I tried to do it with the Google app which then refused to receive a vital code that the TV sent. Then the app got stuck in a dead end so I asked Google AI for help. After a few questions and answers with no progress Google AI was very condemning of the Google Home App and Sony being unable to provide a set-up procedure the didn't require the help of a computer expert. After 45 minutes of getting nowhere Google AI finally offered to help me return the TV and buy one that worked. I took a break and thought I would ask Sony for help. They sent me a link to an external support system for which I had t o pay a £1 but then I found out I'd actually been signed up for ongoing membership of this help system for which I had to pay. I asked my question, the support was useless and I rapidly determined that I had paid to talk to a Chatbot that was more stupid, when it came to solving my setup problem, than Google AI. I felt totally cheated by Sony. I unsubscribed from the support and never want to use that help system again. I started from square one with the TV, deleted the useless Google app and set the TV up quite quickly and it works fine without the interference of a poorly designed Google Home app.

Always have had Sony Bravia for 20 plus years, extremely good product.

My first TV experience was a ten inch Bush TV watched the Coronation of The Queen the difference is astonishing to me that technology has moved so far I am still learning to drive the TV but sound and posture quality are superb

Amazing TV! The picture and sound quality are exquisite, especially with UHD content. I haven’t had the chance to test every feature this TV has to offer yet, but watching UHD documentaries on it has been an absolute pleasure. For anyone who cares about exceptional picture quality and incredible sound, this TV is simply a must.

The Bra is A90K is 2 + years old. Works OK but o/s gets corrupted, hence the default reset which gets rid of all software crap but has to be setup as a new TV which is an utter pain but the TV is operable again.

I bought this tv 2 weeks ago and it is brilliant, I had my old Sony tv for over 10yrs and the new one is such a massive improvement could not be more pleased and Blasons who supplied and fitted it were excellent,wouldn't buy anything but Sony and wouldn't buy from anywhere but Blasons

Bought this 3 weeks ago from John Lewis. Had them instal and setup too.Picture perfect with sharp definition. Sound quality great too so don’t need the added expense of a soundbar. Built in Freeview. Loads of built in apps, including YouTube Prime Video Netflix BBC iPlayer ITVX & loads more.

I've been watching the A90K for some time now and only have one issue. WHY DIDN'T I BUY EARLIER?? This TV is amazing value for money. The picture is razor sharp with every detail defined thanks to the OLED screen. Watching the World Cup '26 on it is like being there. The sound is amazing and creates a great atmosphere and the picture is perfect, especially when watching in UHD on BBC iPlayer. I have paired the TV with my old Sony Soundbar but will be investing in a newer model with 360 spacial mapping. I've heard this setup in the demo room and I was blown away. ONce more Sony you have hit the mark, but why don't you make more sub 50 inch high end TVs. There is a call for them; especially at Sony's high quality standards.

I didn't know tv technology has come so far and this Sony model really gave me a stunning awakening. I bought it during the 2026 World Cup tournament and the pictures and audio were so realistic I felt I was watching the football live! The sound when watching musicals and concerts really embarrassed my top end Naim hi-fi set up. What more could I want?

Only recently purchased this Sony TV. Very pleased so far brilliant picture quality and sound, the TV is also easy to operate using the remote control

Extremly good picture It does whhat it says in the Specification and Features. Easy to assemple and set up although no set up instructions in the box. Also no downloadable User Manual athough an extensive copy available on line but can not download a comple file. Can print off a version ( aprox 150 pages)if you can find the print version on lline. Its worth having to get the best settings. I understand the TV can diplay a version of the Users Manual but does not tell one how. Why cant Sony provide a USB stick with all the Opearators Manual and any other relevant information in ir. It would be such a small cost.

Bought to replace a Sony fifteen year old Brava because my wife and I were both struggling with the sound although had no issue with the picture. The new model not only has a clearer picture but the sound options are superb. No need for a sound bar that we were expecting to have to buy together with a new TV. The salesman did not think we needed a sound bar & new tv and took the time to demonstrate both options in the shop to prove his point. Am glad he did!

I was getting frustrated with the LG C5 I had before, I don't know why these techies rated it so much it was probably the worst tv I have ever had. The Sony is much more user friendly.

Just bought it and the picture and clarity are superb unfortunately the sound quality is only mediocre with significant booming of bass sounds.

Brought a few weeks ago, as our samsung needed replacing . Brought for cash without asking alot of questions, my fault ! Not sure how to get the best as refused to pay an exfra £59 to help set up on top of the £1495 . Picture not as good as samsung, cannot connect to google app as instructed to do, as do not now how and have been trying since brought! Seems alot to find if you know how ! Would not buy again, samsung seem better.

Two weeks into using my new tv, and very pleased with it so far.This is my second Sony Bravia so that speaks volumes about the product

Over the years we have bought Sony TV’s. Having just moved house we decided to replace an older TV bought in 2012. We have been very pleased with the purchase, the quality of the picture and the sound My only aspect, particularly for a person of a certain age, is that there are many options which we are accessing by trial and error rather than through an instruction book

Very happy with picture quality and ease of set up. Am still learning about all the features this tv has but so far am very pleased.

Quality product but difficult to understand instructions

I know this isn't the latest technology but like most Sony bravias, it’s exceptional. I can’t go bigger than this so works perfectly for me. The picture is outstanding and the os is fast. The image processing is so good, natural and isn’t vivid and shouty like other brands that probably look good in the shop but actually hurt your eyes after a while!

This TRULY is THE most magnificent TV that we have ever owned , having now owned it for about a week , the quality of it absolutely exudes in everything we have watched , stunning clearer picture , stunning sound , zero motion blur , absolutely FANTASTIC colour , one could easily run out of superlatives describing the fantastic quality of this television ! There are actually not one but TWO TV controls , of the two , the metal one feels absolutely fantastic in the hand , the quality absolutely exudes in this TV in every department !So good , we are actually re-watching things to see just how much better they are with this television !

I bought this TV recently and I am super happy with it! I purchased it to use as a monitor and for console gaming and everything so far has been great! Picture, sound, operating system, setup, the stand, the remote are all top class. I am removing one star though for the following reasons. By now you’d think Sony would give a backlit remote with their TV’s or glow in the dark buttons. The other is the brightness is quite low compared to the equivalent 42” LG. But the most important and infuriating factor is that I have 2 Sony TV’s in the same area. This small one for gaming and PC use and the 65” for TV and movies. When turning on/off or operating either TV they come on at the same time etc. I have tired everything to change the remote user ID for this exact purpose bit Sony in all of their infinite wisdom has removed this option! What market your 42” tv to be also used as a gaming monitor if under this circumstance you have constant problems with both TV’s turning on off and going through settings at the same time. I have to unplug one or block the IR sensor to change the setting on the other before plugging it back in under the desk. A total nightmare.

We changed to the Sony and are so glad we did and could not be more pleased, we had a big problem with an LG OLED, Currys store staff did a great job in helping us to exchange. More money but at least we have a television that does the job as it should. Geoff Davies.

Purchased recently so far quite happy. The unit came with two remote controls it would be helpful to customers if some type of booklet came with the set to explain exactly what each remote does, also explain what each button does. I have relied to download instructions but the description does not match tge units I have.

Absolutely delighted with the TV and the theatre system .

It is a television, what am I supposed to say. As with all modern telivisions I would prefer CH1 to be displayed when I press 1 on the remote or select TV as an input, not a menu requiring me to press another button to actually view the channel. The Apps. are standard. The operating system is ok. I dont need to be told what to watch with suggestions, I know my own viewing preferences. I do like the fact my old Sony remote still works with the new TV.

After owning this tv for a month I am still waiting a table stand to be dispatched from Sony as when unpacking the tv it was not in the sealed box. Over 11 phone calls to SONY Customer Service and still no resolution to this issue. Having been a customer of SONY for over 40 years I am appalled at the lack of customer service and stream of excuses. The unresolved issue continues.

It seems a bit too smart for us !!! Hopefully we will get used to using it.

The picture and sound are both excellent and a huge advancement on my old TV.

Very happy with the appearance and performance of this Sony TV. Both the picture quality and sound performance are exceptional.

I've had the A90K for 3 weeks and find it superior to my old tv. Setting it up with external inputs is tricky even being a moderately tech savy person. HDMI randomly fails handshake as did attached soundbar. This is not TV fault more of the limits of the technology I'm told. This probably true when coupled to more than one hdmi input on my case 2 android devices. CoPilot was my saviour in fine tuning the set up which has educated me into the complexities of the connectivity of these devices. I have no hesitation of recommending this TV sound and picturr quality are outstanding. TV channel guide/tuner leave a lot to be desired when compared to modern front end IPTV apps and perhaps this is the difference that Google TV has put upon us. The Sony guide is the better choice from day 1 and clearly works, but if you're an avid TV viewer only (terrestial) you may be a little disappointed. Another disappointing think is having 2 different remotes without explanation one with coloured buttons and numeric pad the other is more streamlined with keys for Netflix, Disney, Prime Video... confusing having to shuffle remotes. Of course a third handpicked for the excellent HT2000 sound bar. To close without the soundbar this TV has excellent sound features my high frequency hearing is reducing and this TV can boost speech above the other sounds in a broadcast....outstanding.

Would like a simple manual. In particular to know how to switch to Freesat.

Picture quality and performance in general is excellent - I’m puzzled why Sony didn’t give us enough memory to store more apps leaving us with apps that we don’t need but can’t uninstall to leave space for the ones we do want.

I have only just been able to put my TV up in my new home. I purchased the XR-42A90K. and I love it. Lovely clear picture and also love the remote - it's so heavy and robust and gives a real luxury feel. The TV is very easy to set up and easy to use the APPs too.

Bought this 3 weeks ago and knew the picture and sound quality would be good and it doesn't disappoint. That said the down sides are: 1) The remote is very small and hence so are the buttons. 2) The TV response to any buttons is slow.

This is a very good tv. The picture, sound and features are excellent. One aspect that falls short is the programme guide. The screen display is too small and can’t be easily read from a normal tv viewing distance, requiring you to move closer to the tv to read the text, and this is very annoying. Also the display is multi coloured which is distracting and confusing.

Not pleased with product. Does not revert to last channel when switching on even though set up to do so

My partner bought one of these TV’s about a year ago and I just could not get over tge quality of the picture and sound. I finally went out and bought one for my own home so now it doesn’t matter where we stay we have top class viewing.

This is by a long way the best television I have ever had.

Purchased from seven oaks sound and vision Solihull, one of their demos, easy to set up, stand parts missing, but between shop and Sony, sorted it out, quality is next to nothing, something that has been perfectly done and needs no alterations.

I replaced my old Sony TV by this new Sony A90K 48” even after just a week it has really impressed the whole family, sound and picture are first class and it was so easy to set up

I purchased my new Sony OLED TV a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it’s the best decision I could have made. The picture clarity whilst watching anything produced in 4K is fantastic. The atmos sound is so good there was no need for my sound bar. The choice of apps available is great. I would advise anyone thinking of buying a new tv to definitely give Sony a try.
