How do I register music CDs to [Playlist Title] on Media Bar Ver.2.*/Ver.3.*?
Media Bar Ver.2.* and later versions allow you to register music CDs, files of moving images and audio files to [Playlist Title] of [Media Bar].
Registering music CDs to [Playlist Title] allows registering CDs' data (Package name, contents name, etc.) to the CD database on the hard disk drive, with the following benefits:
- You can enter names on the package and contents, store the data to Artist and browse them.
- You can search for data such as the package name and the contents name from the registered information.
- You can create a package that contains the different playback order of the contents on the playlist.
- When you dub named packages and contents to MD with [Media Bar], you can copy them together with the names.
* When you dub a music CD to MD with [MD Player], the music CD must be registered to [Playlist Title] in advance.
- When you register the contents of the CD in the CD player connected to your computer to [Playlist Title], you can access the package in the CD player easily.
- When you register multiple files of moving images and audio to [Playlist Title], you can play them back easily.
A. To make [Playlist Title] registration, refer to the following procedure:
--Procedure--
* The procedure is basically the same for all versions.
1) Insert a music CD to the CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive.
2) Click [Start] -> [Media Bar].
* When the playback of a music CD is associated with [Media Bar], this step is not necessary. In such cases, [Media Bar] starts automatically.
3) If [Get CD information from CDDB (Internet)] is enabled, [Media Bar] obtains the CD information (package name, contents name, etc.) automatically from the CD database in the music information site on the Internet based on the information of the set CD when it starts (Note: Your computer must be connected to the Internet).
- In the case where the CD information is successfully obtained and [Playlist Title Registration] has been made, the [Playlist] button is enabled.
- In the case where the CD information is successfully obtained but [Playlist Title Registration] has not been made,
a) If [Show Playlist Title Registration dialog when music CD is inserted] is enabled, the [Playlist Title] dialog appears.
b) If [Show dialog when music CD is inserted] is enabled on Media Bar Ver.3.0 or later, the [Playlist Title] dialog appears.
* If the [Playlist Title] dialog does not appear, click the [Register] button. (In the case of Ver.2.*, click [Package]).
4) Enter your preferred package name in the [Playlist Title] dialog and click [OK].
* If you have unchecked the [Open Playlist Window] box, the [Playlist] window in step 5 does not appear.
5) When [Playlist Title Registration] is enabled, the [Playlist] window appears.
* If the [Playlist] window does not appear, click the [Playlist] button.
B. To change the settings of [Get CD information from CDDB (Internet)], refer to the following procedure:
--Procedure--
1) Click the [Options] button to display the [Media Bar Options] window.
2) Select the [Get CD Information Automatically Setting] tab on the [Media Bar Options] window.
3) Change the ON/OFF of the [Get CD Information from CDDB (Internet)] checkbox and click the [OK] button.
* If the CD information is on HDD, the CD information on HDD gets a higher priority irregardless of the position the checkbox is set.
C. To change the settings of [Show Playlist Title Registration dialog when music CD is inserted], refer to the following procedure:
--Procedure--
1) Click [Options] to display the [Media Bar Options] window.
2) Select the [Show dialog] tab on the [Media Bar Options] window.
3) Change the ON/OFF of the [Show Playlist Title Registration dialog when music CD is inserted] checkbox (In the case of Media Bar Ver.3.0 and later, the checkbox reads [Show dialog when music CD is inserted]) and click [OK].
