The HAP-Z1ES supports High-Resolution Audio formats such as DSD, FLAC, WAV and ALAC, as well as compressed formats like MP3, AAC, ATRAC and WMA, restoring their quality closer to that of the original.
A wide frequency range of 2Hz-80kHz a well-rounded sound, capable of reproducing the nuances of a live performance.
Analogue to digital sound at a high sample rate
For exceptional accuracy and detail, High-Resolution Audio converts analogue to digital at 24bit/96Hz - much higher than CDS, and analogue FIR filters operate at the frequency of DSD.
The Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) upscales your compressed digital music files (MP3, ACC, ATRAC and WMA) close to CD quality. By restoring the high-range sound lost in the compression process, DSEE produces your digital music files in rich, natural sound, closer to the quality of the original recording.
The DSD Re-mastering Engine resamples your compressed music files to DSD – a High-Resolution format with a 1-bit audio stream for efficient digital to analog conversion. Audio is reproduced closer to the quality of the original recording, with restored detail and tone previously lost in the compression process.

Separate high capacity transformers keep power flow to digital and analogue circuitry independent, reducing cross-talk and distortion between channels.

Enjoy all your music in one place. Download the HAP music transfer application to your PC to sync and copy all your tracks onto the HAP-Z1ES over Wi-Fi. The next time you download a new track, it will automatically be transferred, and track names, album art, and more are checked against the online database, Gracenote for accuracy.
Hook-up the HAP-Z1ES to your amplifier and speakers. There are balanced and unbalanced outputs, a LAN port for connecting to a home network and a USB input.
