Sony is offering the latest update program Ver.4.2.10 for PMB (Picture Motion Browser).

Note: To apply the update program, PMB needs to be installed in the computer beforehand.

  • PMB (Picture Motion Browser) Ver.1.1 ~ 4.2.00
  • Cyber-shot Viewer Ver.1.0

    Note:
    * To update PMB Portable supplied to DSC-G3, DSC-T2, DSC-T700, NSC-GC1 and NSC-GC3, please apply PMB Ver.3.3.00 update program beforehand.
    * To update GPS Image Tracker Ver.1.0 to Ver.2.0, please apply PMB Ver.3.0.05 update program beforehand.
    * Some versions are not supported even if the version of your software is applicable.

Functions to be added / improved

Additional functions

  1. Blu-ray Disc (HD) Creation
    You can create a Blu-ray Disc with high definition image quality videos by downloading and installing Blu-ray Disc Add-on Software*.

    * To download Blu-ray Disc Add-on Software, Sony AVCHD camcorder and a Blu-ray Disc burner drive are necessary.
  2. Support for DXVA 2.0
    DXVA (DirectX Video Accelerator) 2.0 considerably enhances the playback performance of AVCHD contents.
    * Your computer needs to satisfy the required conditions.
  3. Data Disc Creation: Operability improvement
    You can select images you would like to write to a disc from the thumbnail screen.
  4. PMB Launcher function
    You can view and launch each function of PMB.

Improved functions

  • The issue that some videos included in a Playlist might fail to be saved on a disc using Playlist Disc Creation in the Handycam Utility will be resolved. (for Ver.3.0.00 or later)
  • The issue that some descriptions in PMB Ver.4.2.00 appear in a wrong language when it is installed in certain languages will be resolved. Please click here to download PMB Language Fix Tool.

    *Starter is not supported.

* Please click here for more information on using PMB with Windows Vista 64-bit editions.
* To play or edit movies, the appropriate PC CPU Performance is necessary.
* The above Operating System needs to be preinstalled at the factory.
* Operations are not guaranteed in an upgraded or multi-boot environment.
* Please apply PMB Ver.3.3.00 update program for Windows 2000 users.
