Windows XP Downgrade Drivers and Applications for VGN-CR3 Series(Zip File)

IMPORTANT: Before proceeding with the upgrade, disconnect all external hardware devices, including PC Cards etc.
Note: Before proceeding, ensure that the VAIO computer is operated using the supplied AC adapter.
Note: Save all data/files and close all running programs.

ATI Graphics Models
a. Instant Mode can not be used.
b. AV Mode button can not be used.

Intel Graphics Models:
a. Instant Mode can not be used.
b. AV Mode button can not be used.
c. Fn+F5/F6(Brightness Control function can not be used)

Atheros Wireless LAN models
a. Wireless LAN Switch utility can not control Atheros wireless LAN device.

1. To install Windows XP Drivers for VGN-CR3 Series
VGN-CR37MN, VGN-CR34GN, VGN-CR357, VGN-CR37GN, VGN-CR353, VGN-CR327, VGN-CR324, VGN-CR313H, VGN-CR363, VGN-CR36G, VGN-CR35S, VGN-CR32S, VGN-CR323, VGN-CR35G, VGN-CR35M, VGN-CR32G, VGN-CR354, VGN-CR343N

Download the VGN-CR3-drivers.zip (229 MB) to a temporary or download directory (Please note this directory for reference. Make sure the size of the downloaded file is the same as indicated. If the size is different, please download the file again.) Then launch and install the file as below.

Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility
1. Execute \ drivers \Chipset.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.
NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

ATI Video driver
Please double check the H/W SPEC if the unit is built-in Intel Graphics Device please install this driver if the unit is buit-in ATI Graphics Device please skip this step.
1. Execute \ drivers \Graphcis-ATI.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.
NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

Intel Video driver
Please double check the H/W SPEC if the unit is built-in ATI Graphics Device please install this driver if the unit is buit-in Intel Graphics Device please skip this step.
1. Execute \ drivers \Graphics-Intel.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.
NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

Hotfix - kb835221.exe
1. Execute \ drivers \kb835221.exe.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.
NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

Realtek High Definition Audio CODEC
1. Execute \ drivers \Audio.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.
NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

HDAUDIO SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP
1. Execute \ drivers \Modem.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.

4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

Touch Chip Fingerprint Coprocessor
1. Execute \ drivers \Fingerprint.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.

4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

TexasInstuments PCIXX12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller
1. Execute \ drivers \Memory_Sticker.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.

4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

Memory Sticker Icon
1. Execute \ drivers \MSIcon.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.

4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

Synaptics PS/2 Port Pointing Device
1. Execute \ drivers \Pointing.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.

4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

Realtek rtl8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC
1. Execute \ drivers \LAN.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.

1. Execute \ drivers \Camera.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.

SonyNC
1. Execute \ drivers \Sony_NC.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.

Sony Image Filter
1. Execute \ drivers \SonyImgF.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.

2. To install Windows XP Applications for VGN-CR3 Series
VGN-CR37MN, VGN-CR34GN, VGN-CR357, VGN-CR37GN, VGN-CR353, VGN-CR327, VGN-CR324, VGN-CR313H, VGN-CR363, VGN-CR36G, VGN-CR35S, VGN-CR32S, VGN-CR323, VGN-CR35G, VGN-CR35M, VGN-CR32G, VGN-CR354, VGN-CR343N

Download the VGN-CR3-application.zip (66.7 MB) to a temporary or download directory (Please note this directory for reference. Make sure the size of the downloaded file is the same as indicated. If the size is different, please download the file again.) Then launch and install the file as below.

Sony Shared Library
1. Execute \ applications \Sony_Shared_Library.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.
NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

Sony Utilities DLL
1. Execute \ applications \Sony_Utilities_DLL.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.

4. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

VAIO Event Service
1. Execute \ applications \VAIO_Event_Service.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.

VAIO Event Service Hotfix
1. Execute \ applications \vaio_event_service_hotfix.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
3. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.

Setting Utility Series
1. Execute \ applications \Setting_Utility_Series.EXE.

Wireless Switch Setting Utility
1. Execute \ applications \Wireless_Switch_Setting_Utility.EXE.
2. Follow the installation wizard that appears.

VAIO Camera Capture Utility
