What does this download do?

This utility will install an updated Jog Dial Navigator Upgrade on Sony VAIO Notebook Computers.

Sony provides Driver/Utility Upgrades for several models of VAIO computers to enhance compatibility under the Windows XP Home/Professional edition environment. These Driver/Utility updates should only be used with Sony VAIO Notebook Computers sold in the Asia Pacific countries. DO NOT use these updates with other computer, or the computer may not function correctly or may even become inoperable.

This upgrade program will resolve the following symptoms:
1. If applications are repeatedly started by Jog Dial Launcher, the resource decreases.
2. When menu operation is active with SonicStage, it becomes impossible to return from menu operation to the original menu.
3. The names of items of the Jog Dial Launcher are not displayed correctly.

Important Notes

IMPORTANT: Before proceeding with the upgrade, disconnect all external hardware devices, including PC Cards (except for Sony PCMCIA CD-ROM drive and Floppy Disk Drive).

NOTE: Ensure that the VAIO computer is operated using the supplied AC adapter.

NOTE: Do not run any program or restart the computer unless instructed to do so, during the entire installation process.

NOTE: If the HotKey Utility Program is not installed with the Jog Dial Navigator Upgrade Program, some functions of the Jog Dial Nagivator will not work. Uninstall the current HotKey Utility Program on the system and install the new version of HotKey Utility Program.

3. Double-click on Add or Remove Programs.

4. Highlight HotKey Utility and click Change/Remove.

5. In the InstallShield Wizard, select the Remove option.

6. Click Next.

7. Click OK to confirm the removal.

8. Click OK to restart the computer.
