We would like to inform customers regarding the compatibility of 8cm DVD+RW disc (models-DPW30/DPW60DS) recorded by Sony DVD Handycam (models-DCR-DVD602/DVD602E/DVD653/DVD653E/DVD703/DVD703E /DVD803/DVD803E/DVD7/DVD7E) and played back on DVD products.

There is a possibility that 8cm DVD+RW disc recorded by the above Sony DVD Handycam models cannot be played back on several DVD products.  Sony DVD products in Asia Pacific region which are not be compatible with 8cm DVD+RW disc include :

- DVD players – models launched before 2000
- DVD Recorders – RDR-HX900/GX700/GX300
- VAIO laptops launched in April 2004 or earlier

Users of the above Sony DVD Handycam models are advised to use 8cm DVD-RW/-R disc, in order for compatibility with DVD products which cannot playback 8cm DVD+RW disc.

* Depending on the condition of the disc and optical pick-up, some DVD products which are compatible with 8cm DVD+RW disc may also not be able to playback the disc.
