Precautions when installing Windows® 2000 Service Pack 4
i. When the computer is installed with Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or 5.5 Service Pack 1, Windows® 2000 Service Pack 4 may not be able to be installed. Error message may appear and installation will stop.
To avoid this symptom, upgrade the Internet Explorer to a higher version prior to the installation of Windows® 2000 Service Pack 4. Alternatively, use the Run... command from the Start menu to install the downloaded Service Pack 4 file.
ii. If an external IEEE1394 drive such as a CD-ROM, CD-R/RW or DVD drive is connected to the computer where Windows® Media Player 9 has been installed, an error window with a blue background appears and the computer will sometimes stop responding.
