Important Notice to Sony VAIO Personal Computer Owners with SonicStage Mastering Studio Ver.1.0-Ver.2.2

Sony has identified that SonicStage Mastering Studio Ver.1.0-Ver.2.2. on Sony VAIO computers have the potential risk of security vulnerability.

Description of Symptom

There is a possibility of buffer overflow when an illegal project file created by third party is loaded to the computer.

* Special technical skill will be required to load the file onto VAIO computers.

** The security vulnerability will not happen as long as the user does no read or write the unknown file.

*** There is no report of damage caused by this symptom yet.

Sony VAIO computers installed with SonicStage Mastering Studio Ver.1.0-Ver.2.2.

Below is a list of update programs that are opened to the public onthe VAIO support website. Please select the suitable update program for your VAIO computer and install it to protect your computer.
