You can download firmware upgrade for your NEX-3 and NEX-5 to enjoy this feature.

It's easy to get a full view of your surroundings in 3D. Move the camera in a smooth arc for a series of photos to be taken in Sweep Panorama mode. Seamlessly stitched together to form a single panorama image, two of these images will be used, each with a different parallax, for the creation of a stunning 3D panoramic image.
