14-bit DXP Converter
The 14-bit DXP is able to reproduce pictures more naturally with an enhanced dynamic range. Its better signal processing ability decreases digital noise for clearer, cleaner, and more defined images. This is especially effective for darker images.
High resolution 211K pixel design helps provide excellent viewing and image playback clarity. The Hybrid system consists of a transmissive LCD combined with a reflective LCD. By turning off the LCD backlight, it will capture more ambient light virtually eliminating "wash-out."
800x Digital Zoom
The camera gives you up to 800x Digital Zoom (up to 12x Optical), ensuring that your subject is always within range. Use the 20x Optical Zoom for crystal clear magnification, or the 800x Digital Zoom when you want to get close to the action.
Our Advanced Hole Accumulation Diode (HAD) technology produces excellent results in low light condition, with noise level being half that of previous levels. The quality of the recorded image is determined by the efficiency of the CCD sensor as will as the internal voltage controlled circuit in the voltage output circuit.
Battery Info Display Function
On Demo mode, the Battery info display will appear when the button is pressed. The new display shows the level of charging at 10% of the remaining capacity on the bar. It also displays the recording time you have left, in minutes, whether you choose to shoot using the LCD screen or the viewfinder.
Colour LCD Screen
Small solid state LCD (liquid crystal display) panel on Sony Handycams, which uses thousands of red, green and blue pixels to create a colour image in the viewfinder. This helps to ensure the correct composition of the image being recorded.
Whether you are shooting the fireworks at night in the summer or snow-capped mountains in the winter, Sony's Hybrid LCD reproduces excellent viewing clarity and visibility in any lighting situations.

PictBridge™
Print without a PC! Simply connect the printer to a PictBridge-enabled digital camera or camcorder via a USB cable. Use the camera’s LCD display to select the images and input them onto the printer’s control panel and start printing.

Super SteadyShot
Sensitive horizontal and vertical motion vector sensors pick up the unwanted jittering caused by an unsteady hand. These shakes are then compensated by the Super SteadyShot System, eliminating unwanted blurs and giving you a smoother and more enjoyable video.
Touch-Panel
Activate camera features such as video playback controls, Program AE, effects mode, search and title entry by a simple touch on the generously sized LCD screen. For added protection, the touch panel is specially treated to prevent against dirt and unwanted fingerprints.
The USB Steaming technology allows the camera to become a web cam via the USB connection. Hook it to your PC and with video conferencing software, the Handycam will act as the imaging capturing device.
