The products and services scheduled to be on display are as follows:
<“BRAVIA” Postcard>
“BRAVIA” Postcard is a service that allows you to send e-postcards (virtual message and photos) directly from your mobile phone to Sony “BRAVIA” LCD TVs via the internet. For example, using this service (currently available to users in Japan only), spectators at a football match can use their mobile phones to send images from the match to their friends and family at home viewing “BRAVIA” TVs.
At Sony’s commercial display booth, visitors can experience this service using a Sony Ericsson mobile phone.
<PlayStation®Home>
Visitors to the Sony commercial display at Ellis Park, in Johannesburg, will be able to experience PlayStation®Home, the 3D social gaming community on PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment systems. Set in a beautifully rendered, High Definition world, PlayStation®Home is an online service for the ever evolving community of PLAYSTATION®3 users. Users will be able to create unique avatars, interact with other PLAYSTATION®3 users, share gaming experiences and create their own personal apartment.
Visitors will be able to enjoy communicating with other PlayStation®Home users, who will be easy to spot as their avatars will be wearing “FIFA Confederations Cup 2009” design T-shirts.
