Pinch roller crease
If a pinch roller is worn and/or capstan is contaminated with dirt, the tape will be transported forcefully upward or downward resulting to tape damages and picture noise.
When VCR head runs over the damage portion, noise will occur.
Analog pictures:- A magnified noise compared to a dropout.
- In all cases, we can see noises traveling from upper to lower part of the screen.
