It takes just 10 minutes to transfer a fully loaded, 32GB SxS memory card. It comes complete with a direct refresh function that empties and prepares the SxS for use after copying.

Direct editing from Sony's Mobile Storage Unit

Once data has been transferred to the unit, the Mobile Storage Unit can be connected to your editing suite via the eSATA or USB 2.0 port for Instant video editing. Depending on the work station performance, the PC maximum data transfer rate is 800Mbps when using eSATA.

Continous recording

Being able to free up the SxS card memory space in the field, you are equipped to shoot continuously with the added benefit of a safe backup on a Mobile Storage Cartridge.

Removeable Harddisk

The HDD cartridge can be removed for the storage or use for content exchange. The cartridge also comes with a hard casing for temporary storage on the shelf.

With your data backed-up onto the HDD cartridge (up to 240GB capacity), there is no worry of accidental file deletion while working in the field.

Your content is safe with error free copy and verified function

The copy function can be fully verified so that you get error free data backup. Sony's Mobile Storage Unit also determines if enough battery life and backup capacity are available to complete the copying task before the process begins.

HDD Anti-shock protection

The internal HDD unit is protected against damaged caused by vibration and impact shock, so your video are always kept safe. Sony internal test results show that HDD cartridge can withstand accidental drop of 1.5m

The power to work anywhere

The optional BP-U30 battery pack provides the added convenience for on-field storage. The BP-U30 enables the Mobile Storage Unit to write more than 2 HDD cartridges or about 200 minutes of copying time.
