Super VIVAX for high resolution

Sony's ability to precisely controlcobalt enrichment of gamma ferric oxide magnetic particles is the key to the high coercivity attained by Super VIVAX. In turn, the high coercivity of 59.3 kA/m extends the high frequency recording capability to provide high resolution.

Low dropout rate with advanced crosslinked binder

Uniform dispersion of Super VIVAX particles, Sony's unique surface finishing, special backcoating, and other practical innovations are part of Sony's all-out effort to minimize dropouts. The binder also plays an important role in reliability. From high-speed winding to still-frame playback, the physical pressures on a videotape are extreme. Particularly with a tape engineered for the SP system, the ability to withstand concentrated editing and dubbing is essential. That's why KSP series tape employs an enhanced crosslinked binder system. The binder also combines with a smooth surface and particle size uniformity to reduce noise and boost output.
