VIVAX for digital recording
Sony's VIVAX magnetic particles, proven in video applications, have been optimized to satisfy digital audio recording requirements. Their high coercivity reduces modulation noise, to achieve a superior carrier-to-noise ratio compared to conventional 3/4-inch tapes.
Low error rate, high reliability
A crosslinked binder system helps disperse the particles, while also enabling higher packing density for increased output. Optimal particle orientation and advanced calendering contribute to improved signal transfer at the tape-to-head interface. Carbonmirror backcoating promotes runnability and reduces the chance of dropouts caused by electrostatic buildup.
Anti-static cassette shell & lid
The anti-static materials used for cassette shell and lid constructionprevent the attraction of airborne contaminants. A wider label area and supplied APRS/SPARS label sheet assist in record keeping and identification.
