DASV achieves a remarkable retentivity of 190mT, thanks to its ultra-refined "Vivax" magnetic particle coating and the same Hi-packing technology that has already earned a high reputation in Sony'sprofessional S-VHS videotape. As shown on the modulation noise spectrum graph, DASV boasts a 6.5MHz output and a C/N ratio of 54dB at the 5.5MHz noise level.
Extremely low error rate
The error rate in the adat digital audio system depends on the tape'sC/N ratio and number of dropouts. DASV tape'shigh C/N ratio of 54dB is more than sufficient for digital recording. What'smore, when combined with the low dropout level established in Sony's professional video cassettes, the multiple effect gives an error rate so low that the ALESIS Company was prompted to recommend this tape for adat and adapt.
Super RF Binder gives excellent durability
DASV tape's Super RF Binder gives it the toughness for repeated playbacks, as proved by an output degradation of only 1dB even after 100 continuous full tape passes. In addition this Super RF Binder optimizes head contact for reducing spacing loss while at the same time exerting a cleaning effect to maintain clean head surfaces.
