VIVAX magnetic particles
SSA (specific surface area) refers to the sum total surface area of one gram of magnetic particles. The uniformly needle shaped VIVAX particles employed in BCT-G videotape are so small that they rate an SSA of 40 square meters, for outstanding picture and sound quality, with reduced modulation noise.
Carbonmirror backcoating
Sony's Carbonmirror back-coating not only reduces dropouts and electrostatic discharge noise, it also promotes runnability. For extremely reliable Betacart operation, tape transport stability and picture quality remain outstanding even after heavy use.
Crosslinked binder and calendaring
