Notice for specifications changes on the DSC-RX1

Sony has decided to change part of specifications on shooting-related features of the Cyber-shot DSC-RX1 as follows.

1)

Focus Mode Specification Change

“AF-C” mode in still picture capturing has been removed and the focus mode dial display has been changed accordingly.

<BEFORE change> The following four focus modes were available Auto Focus (AF-S) / Auto Focus (AF-C) / Direct Manual Focus (DMF) / Manual Focus (MF)

<AFTER change> The following three focus modes are available Auto Focus (AF)* / Direct Manual Focus (DMF) / Manual Focus (MF)

*Functions as Auto Focus (AF-S) in still picture shooting, and as Auto Focus (AF-C) in video shooting.

<Cosmetics change> The focus mode dial will be changed as below.

Shutter Speed Improvement

Program Auto(30”-1/2000), Aperture Priority(30”-1/2000), Shutter Priority(30”-1/2000), Manual Exposure(Bulb, 30”-1/2000), iAuto(4”-1/2000)

<AFTER change>
Program Auto(30”-1/4000*), Aperture Priority(30”-1/4000*), Shutter Priority(30”-1/4000*), Manual Exposure(Bulb, 30”-1/4000*)

*Maximum speed at F5.6 or greater aperture value. Maximum speed at F2.0 is 1/2000.
