How to manually install a printer in Windows® XP?

Install a printer manually in Windows® XP.

Please refer to the steps below.

Firstly, connect the printer to the printer port of the VAIO notebook.
1. Click Start -> Printer and Faxes -> Add a printer.
2. In Add Printer Wizard, click Next.
3. Click Next again.
Windows will prompt for user manual installation if it does not detect the printer.
4. Click Next to proceed.
5. Click Next again.
6. Chose the desired manufacturer and model of the printer.
7. Click Next twice.
8. Click Next to print out a test page.
9. Click Finish.
10. Click OKafter the test page is printed.
11. Click Close to close the Printers and Faxes window.
