In the environment where the short type of displaying the date is set to a longer type than yyyy/MM/dd on Windows98, the date data in the log file created with the system file checker (Sfc.exe) is not normally recorded sometimes.

Set the short type of displaying the date to the date type of less than 10 digits including numbers and symbols.

This symptom occurs because the system file checker (Sfc.exe) of Windows98 cannot record the dates that appear in the log file it creates as "Previous Date" and "New Date" when they contain 10 or greater digits including symbols such as hyphens.
