How can I use Outlook Express Ver.5.* with multiple users?

Outlook Express Ver.5.* is capable of managing multiple users with its own "Identity" function.
This "Identity" function allows you to switch users without logging on to Windows again or restarting your computer.

Refer to the following for using this function.

- To use the "Identity" function
When you start Outlook Express Ver.5.* for the first time after its setup, "Main Identity" is automatically created. This "Main Identity" has been used until other identities are created and the identity is changed.

- To add a new identity
To add a new identity, try either of the following methods.

(Operational Procedure)
Method 1
1. Select "Identities" from the "File" menu of Outlook Express and click "Add New Identity".
2. When the "New Identity" dialog box appears, type a new user's name that you want to add in the text box of "Type your name" and click the "OK" button.

Method 2
1. Select "Identities" from the "File" menu of Outlook Express and click "Manage Identities". The "Manage Identities" window appears.
2. Click the "New" button, type a new user's name that you want to add in the text box of "Type your name" in the "New Identity" dialog box and click the "OK" button.

When you add the new identity, the message "Do you want to switch to (New Identity name) now?" appears.
When you click the "Yes" button on the message window, the computer restarts Outlook Express under the login of the newly added identity.
When you click "No" button, the "Manage Identities" window appears again.

- To select identities
Switch multiple identities in the following procedure.

1. Click "Switch Identity" from the "File" menu of Outlook Express. The dialog box of "Switch Identities" appears.
2. Select the identity you want to switch to and click the "OK" button.

- To manage identities
Managing multiple identities on Outlook Express Ver.5.* is to be done on the "Manage Identities" window.
On the "Manage Identities" window, you can edit the properties of the current identity and add new identities.
Try either of the following methods to display the "Manage Identities" window.

- Click "Switch Identity" from the "File" menu of Outlook Express and click "Manage Identities".

Method 2
- Select "Identities" from the "File" menu of Outlook Express and click "Manage Identities".
