How to set up the Multi Camera Control function to Single Connection for camcorders.

This FAQ is designed to assist customers in setting up the Multi Camera Control function as Single Connection for Handycam and Action Cam, follow the steps below.

How to set the camera to Single Connection for Handycam to be controller:

  • First step, make Single Connection Setting.
    1. Press the Menu button on the Handycam.
    2. Go to Wireless.
    3. Scroll down to SETTINGS.
    4. Select Multi Camera Ctrt SET.
    5. Select Single Connection.
  • Second step, set the Handycam as controller.
    1. Press the Menu button on the Handycam.
    2. Select Wireless.
    3. Scroll down to FUNCTION.
    4. Select Control with Smartphone.
    5. Press the Menu button on the Handycam.
    6. Select Wireless.
    7. Scroll down to FUNCTION.
    8. Select Multi Camera Control.

      NOTE: Wait until it catches the Wi-Fi signal from the other camera and display the other camera's SSID.

    9. Select the SSID once it is displayed and it will be connected automatically.

How to set the camera to Single Connection for Handycam to be controlled:

  1. Press the Menu button on the Handycam.
  2. Select Wireless.
  3. Scroll down to FUNCTION.
  4. Select Control with Smartphone.

    NOTE: The SSID and Password of the camera will be displayed on the screen and will standby to be connected to the controller.


How to set the camera to Single Connection for Action Cam to be controlled by Handycam.

  • Setting for Action Cam to be contro: FDR-X3000/HDR-AS300/HDR-AS50.
    1. Press the Menu button on the Action Cam.
    2. Press UP or DOWN button to select Image(Camera Settings).
    3. Select Image(Wi-Fi connection) setting to Image.
    4. Press the REC/ENTER button.
    5. Select the SSID that is printed on the sticker attached to the rear of the camera's battery cover with the Handycam.
    6. Press REC/ENTER button.
