What are the conditions required to continuously shoot at 1.5 and 4 frames per second (fps)?

The following conditions are required to continuously shoot at 1.5 or 4 frames per second when an E-mount lens is mounted on the camera:

  1. For 1.5 frames per second:
    • Drive mode: Cont. Shooting
    • Image size : L:36M
    • Quality : Fine
    • Shutter speed : Faster than 1/250 sec.
    • Focus : MF (Manual focus), or Autofocus Mode fixed to AF-S Single-shot AF.
  2. For 4 frames per second :
    • Drive mode : Spd Priority Cont. (Speed Priority Continuous)
    • Image size : L:36M
    • Quality : Fine
    • Shutter speed : Faster than 1/250 sec.

NOTES:

  • Autofocus and auto exposure are fixed at the first frame.
  • The number of frames may be reduced depending on the subjects and camera settings such as image size, ISO, High ISO NR, Lens Comp. set to Distortion is activated as well as the recording media.
