3LCD projectors separate white light from the projection lamp into red, green and blue primary colours. Each colour is shone through individual LCD panels (made of high-temperature polysilicon, known as HTPS) that give definition and movement to the projected image.
Light efficiency is excellent because the three primary colours are projected the whole time the projector is on. This ensures that users view an image that is both bright and sharp. 3LCD technology is designed to project bright, clear and vivid images. High light efficiency means the projector generates less heat and costs less to run.
